What types of disclosure lead to integration and healing? The book Opening Up By Writing It Down: How expressive writing improves health and eases emotional pain by James Pennebaker and Joshua Smyth describes the ways in which writing and other forms of disclosure are beneficial.

Their research confirms that inhibiting by deliberately choosing not to share our thoughts and feelings takes work. In contrast, deliberately choosing to share allows us to confront and acknowledge our experiences. Just venting what is going on is not sufficient, but must be combined with shifts in awareness around your experiences. Higher-level, deep, complex, and reflective thoughts are associated with better health than a lower-level organization.

Creative Visualization: Review and coaching application

I want to share a summary of Creative Visualization: Use the power of your imagination to create what you want in your life by Shakti Gawain. This book outlines how to consciously choose the most fulfilling life you can imagine. Oftentimes, we are imagining unconsciously and, consequently, incorporate elements of lack and limitation.

Begin by developing a clear image, idea, or feeling of something you wish to manifest. This is defining your desire. It could be an improvement or something completely new. Relax into a deep quiet meditative state of mind and imagine having received what you want, the physical setting, personal interactions, and details about the context. This is allowing receipt of your desire. Use affirmations to shift negative mindsets and commit to positive supporting alternatives.

The Astonishing Power of Emotions: Review and coaching application

This is a summary of The Astonishing Power of Emotions: Let your feelings be your guide by Esther and Jerry Hicks (The teachings of Abraham).

Prior to birth, your nonphysical being had an eager thought to be physical and this was realized. There were no concerns about the ability to handle it or change the world just a desire for direct experience. This expansion resulted in a nonphysical viewpoint as well as a new physical viewpoint.

The ‘physical you’ experience provides the contrast that allows you to gain clarity about what you do not want which can be turned into a desire for what you do want. This is leading-edge creativity. As soon as a desire occurs it is in the process of being created. This means that the variety of human experiences allows for expansion and improvement.

Emotions are the key to making these desires a reality. Each emotion indicates the vibrational relationship between the physical and nonphysical you. When they are aligned you feel good and when they are not aligned you feel bad.

Emotional alignment allows you to keep up with what you are becoming and live joyfully.

Ask And It Is Given: Review and coaching application

With this blog post, I want to share a summary of the book Ask And It Is Given: Learning To Manifest Your Desires by Esther and Jerry Hicks (The teachings of Abraham).

Esther Hicks is a channeler, inspirational speaker, and author. She writes and leads workshops with her husband sharing information from a group of non-physical entities called Abraham.

The processes in this book support understanding of your emotional guidance system and your vibrational set point. They allow us to reconnect with the nonphysical part of self so that we can achieve anything that we desire. All human physical beings have access to the non-physical, but it is often blocked. Our emotions are the key to removing these blocks.

Abraham provides a reminder that you are not separate from the divine, and that you can consciously connect to the source of the divine and your well-being through your feelings.

The Power of Awareness: Review and coaching application

This post is a review of The Power of Awareness by Neville Goddard. First published in 1952, the book contains ideas that were ahead of their time – even now they may seem far-fetched to some. It is all based on what you connect to and believe about ‘I am’. His books have influenced contemporary writers such as Rhonda Byrne and Wayne Dyer.

Neville proposes that the concept ‘I am’ is not separate from consciousness and as such is infinite. By extension, this means that man’s concept of himself determines the world in which he lives. In other words, to access the infinite everything depends on the self’s attitude towards itself.

Furthermore, since existence occurs through consciousness, changing consciousness changes existence. This means you can realize your dreams by rearranging your concept of self. Or, stated another way, you can change the outer world by changing the inner state of consciousness. You do this by assuming that your future dream has already occurred through the application of desire, imagination, and focused attention.
