The book The Laws of Manifestation by David Spangler describes two ways of working with The Law of Attraction, the old method and a new one that is a natural progression. David outlines a shift from separate to integrated or from individual intentionally to holistic life-shaping and world-crafting.
David says there is a “difference between standing outside a system and acting upon it, imposing your will upon it, and standing within a system as a part of it and changing it by becoming an active part of its will.”
Most older models approach goals as linear and reductive without consideration of the complex dynamic system that comes with each goal. It is a more participatory process not only what you will receive, but also what you will give and who you will become. You are birthing yourself and supporting others in the same. The synchronicity of the system also includes how you help others realize their goal(s). In this regard, by making your goal what is needed, life will take care of your needs.
Laws of Manifestation: The Law of Attraction
Manifestation occurs with the words that we use as we think and speak. Words attract according to the power of your field. The power of the field comes from conviction, passion, and clarity.
To connect with this field notice what you need. Ask once for this need to be met knowing that it will be. Give thanks that the need will be met and let go. Take action as required while paying attention to the positive aspects of the need and give thanks again.
Step one: Visualization
Identify your goal and imagine it in form, engaging both will and positive thinking. This prompts the beginning of manifestation. Application of the Law of attraction requires a clear and precise image. Employ a clarity of will that is steadfast without doubt.
Step two: Energetic embrace
Connect to your positive beingness. This allows for a combination of inspiration to action according to your calling and a connection to what is. This prompts incarnation, integration, coherence, and collaboration. In moving towards the goal pay attention to deviation and inner prompting attuning back to the precise image as necessary. As far as possible, act with patience, perseverance, persistence, faith, and gratitude.

Manifestation occurs when four elements come together. These elements are the Energy Field, Definition of Form, Environment, and Anchor Point.
A) Energy field
How are the four energy levels of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy expressed?
- Physical – Taking action and following cycles according to need.
- Emotional – The direct use of feeling and states of faith, trust, and devotion.
- Mental – The single-pointed application of imagination. Will that is tense or forced comes from fear and may include domination or manipulation.
- Soul or spiritual – Shift to the causal body using intuition as the basic mode of perception. This allows Source to express itself. The soul view is of actuality and potentiality
The first three provide the subject-object perspective. This relativity falls away as consciousness of divine nature evolves and you begin to co-create through the spiritual field. This allows for the release of potential.
With the first three alone, will is interpreted as the force needed to push through obstacles according to the things with which you identify. As beingness (connection with divine nature) comes forth identification drops and there is no longer tension in using will. The presence of god from within begins to guide will and there is a shift to being a portal or center of evocation.
With the first three alone, the persona of separateness focuses on quantity and materializing things. With the addition of divine connection, this shifts to quality and whether meeting the need will allow consciousness to grow and express divinity
B) Definition of Form
How specific are we about the goal? There is an optimum balance that allows dynamic support to occur between being too vague and being overly constrained. The form can be tangible or intangible. It can include birth or release, changing ideas, health, or objectives.
C) Environment
How likely is the occurrence of circumstances that will support the goal? This includes factoring in growth over time.
D) Anchor Point
How are we maintaining the bridge between now and future receipt of the goal between you and the world that will provide?

Overall, manifestation is moving towards the revelation of one being that supports growth, expansion, and revelation. Anything that doesn’t support this forward motion is just rearrangement. This means we manifest things by manifesting our real selves – moving from separated body emotion and mind or small self to soul self. This shift of identity and consciousness allows laws to be applied for divine creation. Here you are not observing the law but becoming the law: creative word in the flesh. Therefore, an understanding of manifestation is an understanding of being.
